General FAQs

What is the purpose of HsO?

The Humera Shahid Organisation came into being with a primary focus on the period poverty and the associated problem of non-existent or inadequate facilities for feminine hygiene; Humera Shahid comes up with a solution by providing sanitary pads along with the installation of sanitary pad dispensers in School, Colleges, Universities, and various other public places for free!!!

When was HsO founded?

The foundations of HsO were laid in 2020 by Muhammad Asad Butt and Muhammad Wasif Butt, who was then joined by a group of like-minded people having the same drive and passion. Since then, the Humera Shahid Organisation is working towards this noble cause.

How does HsO make sure that its projects are sustainable and independent?

We not just provide free Menstrual products and dispensers to institutions but also make sure that our projects run sustainably and independently. To achieve this goal, we have our wonderful volunteers, also known as ‘HsO ambassadors’, who take the responsibility to collect donations locally and keep the project running. This saves the organisation’s time and money, as by just bearing the initial setup costs for one project, it can now focus and expand in other deprived areas without any unnecessary burden or concerns of the previous ones
