Humera Shahid Organisation (HsO) is a non-profit organisation in Pakistan with partners across the globe. We aim to improve the conditions of the underprivileged communities of our society in terms of Education, Healthcare, and Women & Youth Empowerment

We aspire to become the source for transforming the lives of the underprivileged communities in Pakistan and across the globe. Ensuring that every individual has access to free menstrual products because it is a necessity, not a luxury.

Taking a step forward than just
Being a Charity:
We not just provide free Menstrual products and dispensers to institutions but also make sure that our projects run sustainably and independently. To achieve this goal, we have our wonderful volunteers, also known as ‘HsO ambassadors’, who take the responsibility to collect donations locally and keep the project running. This saves the organisation’s time and money, as by just bearing the initial setup costs, it can focus and expand in other deprived areas without any unnecessary burden or concerns of the previous ones.
Bring School Back
Humera Shahid was founded in 2020 by Muhammad Asad Butt and Muhammad Wasif Butt; when Asad was working as a Student Trustee in the University of Manchester Students’ Union on one occasion, he got a chance to work with an Executive officer or Women’s Officer (Chenze Ma) of the University of Manchester Students’ Union, and at that time he came across the word period poverty.
To implement this plan according to the vision,
Humera Shahid comes up with a solution by providing sanitary pads along with the installation of sanitary pad dispensers in School, Colleges, Universities, and various other public places for free!!! Millions of girls in developing countries miss 20% of school due to lack of access to feminine hygiene products. Moreover, if toilet paper, soap, and paper towels are free and widely available, why not pads?
